Updates

  • Announcement: Siddhartha's son, Aaron Barbour has passed away. A memorial service is being held in Sebastapol this Saturday. The notice is attached. Death and grief are powerful shared experiences of all humanity. The compassion love and support for Siddhartha and Aaron's mother, Gretchen, who happens to be staying at the Center, has been deeply appreciated. The Divine presence is palatable as was the feeling of love and community. Special thanks to all who expressed their love and support.
  • May Calendar: the May calendar is attached for programs scheduled this month.
  • Volunteers needed: There was a wonderful out pouring of support from our last request for assistance. Thank you all. But some people will not be able to continue so we are asking for your support again. If you are able to help out with the following activities for one month or more please let Wenda Merz know by contacting her at wendamerz@comcast.net:
    • Attend Thursday evening World Peace Meditation
    • Attend Friday evening HAMSA Meditation
    • Attend Sunday World Peace Meditation
    • Assist with setup, A/V recording for:
      • Saturday programs
      • Saturday potluck lunch
      • Sunday programs
    • Assist with Center cleaning once each week
    • Assist with Monthly sales and donation record keeping
    • Assist with monthly attendance record keeping

Regular Programs

Thursday (May 3rd )

  • 7:00 PM: World Peace Meditation. This group meditation seeks to expand World Peace by using a special mantra and breathing technique. We will be finished by 8:00 PM. This program are OPEN to ALL.

Friday (May 4th )

  • 7:00 PM: HAMSA Group Meditation. This technique is for those who are experienced with the World Peace Meditation and want to move to the next level. This technique activates the next higher chakra centers by expanding our connection with the Universal. A minimum of three people are required.

Saturday (May 5th )

  • 10:00 AM : Foundation Course Study Group. This is Sri Atmananda's self-study Course on the Bhagavad Gita. This week we will continue exploring the fourth Chapter the Yoga of Knowledge. The Foundation Course Book is recommended for this class. If you do not have a book yet you can pick up one at the Center. Mark Redmond will facilitate this study group.

· 12:00 PM: POT LUCK LUNCH. Please bring something vegetarian to share. Open to all.

Sunday (May 6th )

  • 11:00 AM : Chanting of the 1000 Names of Lord Vishnu. In this program we chant as a group the thousand name of God. It is a powerful method of evoking the Divine presences. All are invited.

  • 6:00 PM: World Peace Meditation. This group meditation seeks to expand World Peace by using a special mantra and breathing technique. We will be finished by 7:00 PM. This program are OPEN to ALL.
