Programs for Week of Feb. 19th – Feb. 25th

Thursday (Feb 22nd)

* 6:30 PM: The Nature and Mechanism of Global Transformation. In these talks we will explore the basic concepts behind our global Mission. These talks will focus on what we mean by global transformation and how we can participate in the process.
* 7:15 PM: World Peace Meditation. This group meditation seeks to expand World Peace by using a special mantra and breathing technique. We will be finished by 8:00 PM.

These programs are OPEN to ALL.

Friday (Feb 23rd)

* 7:00 PM: HAMSA Group Meditation. This technique is for those who are experienced with the World Peace Meditation and want to move to the next level. This technique activates the next higher chakra centers by expanding our connection with the Universal. A minimum of three people are required.

All those who have done the World Peace Meditation regularly are invited to attend.

Saturday (Feb. 24th)

* 10:00 AM: MATURATION – The stages of human development. In this fourth class of the Journey of Consciousness Series we explore the nature and mechanisms that shape the human system and the developmental process that prepares one for the spiritual path.
o All the talks in this series are being recorded in both audio and video so if you miss classes you can catch up on your own.
* 12:00 PM: POT LUCK LUNCH. Please bring something to share
* 5:00 PM: Talk - Relationship: obstacle or opportunity on the spiritual path . This talk will explore the role our relationships play, the challenges and opportunities they provide for those of us on the spiritual path.

These programs are OPEN to ALL.

Sunday (Feb 25th)

* 11:00 AM: Chanting of the 1000 Names of Lord Vishnu. In this program we chant as a group the thousand name of God. This program is done every day in India. It is a powerful method of evoking the Divine presences. All are invited.
* 1:00 PM: Teacher's Training. Spiritual teaching is yoga in itself. It is a powerful way to experience directly what it is to manifests Truth, Wisdom and love. Each session will be conducted by one or more participants. This session is on Sri Aurobindo's great epic poem, Savatri Wenda and Rasha will conduct this session. All are invited to attend.
* 6:00 PM World Peace Meditation. This group meditation seeks to expand World Peace by using a special mantra and breathing technique. We will be finished by 7:00 PM. Open to All

Programs for Week of Feb. 12th – Feb. 18th

** NOTICE **

Just to remind everyone that the Foundation Course Study Group now meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays and the Journey of Consciousness Talks will meet the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. This is a permanent change. We know some of you have made plans based on the old schedule and we are sorry for any inconvenience..

Thursday (Feb 15th) at 6:30 PM is a World Peace Meditation Talk. This is a short talk on the concepts and principles of our global work. At 7:15 PM, we will do the World Peace Meditation. We will be finished by 8:00 PM. This evening program is OPEN to ALL.

Friday (Feb 16th) at 7:00 PM there will be a Group Meditation. In this meditation we will do what is called the HAMSA technique which expands our connection with our universal nature. All those who have done the World Peace Meditation regularly are invited to attend.

Saturday (Feb. 17th) at 10:00 AM we continue the Foundation Course Study Group. This is Bhagavan’s self-study Course on the Bhagavad Gita. You need have the Book which we have at the Center. The book costs $250 dollars. Payment plans are can be worked out. If you do not have a book yet you can order one at the start of class.

In this class we will explore together Chapter Two, the Yoga of Discrimination. Just as Dejection is the entry point to the spiritual path, Discrimination is the means by which one pulls out of the dejection process. The yoga of Discrimination is when the seeker learns what is Spirit, what is bondage and introduces the spiritual path.

At 2:00 PM there will be Center Committee Meeting. All who have pledged to the Center or feel to participate more deeply with our work here are invited. We will be reviewing how things are going here at the Center, the finances and create a plan for expanding the work into the Sacramento community.

Sunday (Feb 18th) at 11:00 AM we will chant the 1000 Names of Vishnu followed by a Pot Luck Lunch. Afterwards there will be a viewing of Sri Atmananda’s Mother Book Talks for those who are interested. This is a collection of talks he conducted in the year 2004. These talks pull out the deeper and often hidden essence of Sri Aurobindo’s classic, the Mother Book.

Later in the day, at 6:00 PM there will be a World Peace Meditation.
